Yellowness
My Popo is like a bruised banana
Brown speckles from aging
And prolonged sun exposure
My mother’s skin is painted gold
She’s shimmering in the rice plantation
As the sun roasts her back
I have a daffodil colored complexion
It’s a privilege in this country
And I bathe in the sun
